Paertake Weekly - Here comes the sun!!
Hey everyone! Happy Tuesday! I'm excited cause I get on the plane tomorow to go see my sister and brothers! It's been a couple years so it's way overdue! I'm ready for some rest, relaxation, and lots of fun catching up with everyone! It's time for a new challenge from Papertake Weekly, and this week the challenge is "here comes the sun". We're being sponsored by The Ribbon Girl! For my card, I used Strawberry Girl from Mo Manning Digital Pencil. I fell in love with her when I saw her!
She's colored with Copic markers (list is below) and then cut out using oval Nesties and petite scalloped oval Nesties. She's then popped up from the rest of the card. The DP is Best Creation and all the cardstock is from Bazzill. The flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts and the big butterfly is a Cuttlebug cut and emboss set. I used some pink Liquid Pearls on it too. The little butterflies are from an EK Success punch.
This is the card for my June Coloring with Copics class I give at my local scrapbook store. Hope they enjoy putting it together as much as I enjoyed designing it. So that's it for my card for today. Please be sure and pop over to Papertake Weekly and check out all the fantastic cards by my teamies! Then we'd love it if you'd grab your paper and glue and play along with us. Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! I will be out of reach for the next week. So I'll see you all when I get back next week! Hugs!

hair: Y15, E21, 23

Papertake Weekly - Dad and lads
Hey everyone! Happy Tuesday! It's time for another new challenge from Papertake Weekly and this week the challenge is Dads and lads! With Father's Day right around the corner, it's the perfect time for you to get your cards made and be able to join in the challenge too! We're being sponsored this week by Whiff of Joy. For my card, I used this adorable image from Mo's Digital Pencil called Harvard. Isn't he so adorable?? My grandson Chris graduated from Kindergarten last week, so I just had to use this cute little guy on his card. He's colored up with Copic markers.
Being a card for a young man, of course I had to refrain from all the ribbon and flowers. so I kept everything nice and simple, but tried to add lots of interest using bright colors and placing everything a little wonky on the card. I cut the A+ with my Cricut Expression using my Gypsy to weld the shadow of the two together, then cutting and popping up the top layer of them. The papers are from Nitwit Collections matted with Bazzill cardstock. I wrapped some PTI twine around one of the layers and tied it in a simple little bow. All the panels are machine stitched. The "let's celebrate" stamp is from an old Kim Hughes set and I stamped it on some school paper that is actually on my printer. I just printed it on cardstock. I wish I had taken a picture of the inside top cause I put a cute Kim Hughes owl wearing a little grad cap on another piece of the school paper. It turned out really cute, but I didn't capture it with a pic.
So that's it for my card this week. Please be sure to hop over to Papertake Weekly to see the rest of the fabulous creations by the design team. Then we'd love it if you'd grab your paper and glue and play along with us for a chance to win a wonderful prize from Whiff of Joy! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

hunka hunka burnin' love!!!!
Hi everyone! Sure hope you had a wonderful weekend! We had a very busy day today as not only was it Mother's Day here in the US, but it was also my hubby's birthday! Well, I just HAD to make him a card using this fabulous Stong Man image from Mo Manning over at Digital Pencil Too. And I'm sooooo excited cause I actually found a tutorial on how to merget two images together in Photoshop Elements! I was so excited as I've been looking for a simple tutorial for forever on how to do this. Here's a link to it in case you've been on the same quest. It truly is a wonderful, easy tutorial to follow. So along with Strong Man, I used Mo's image Smooch! I kept this card extremely simple as I wanted the images to say it all. I only added a couple tickets from Whimsy for the sentiment.
I love these two images as a couple!!!! When my hubby opened the card, he even gave me this pose and look! LMBO!!!! The images are colored with Copic Markers, R22, 24, 27, and 29. The skin is E11, 01, and 00. Her hair are E20's, and his hair is YR21 with a touch of E33. I was thinking after I colored her outfit all red that it's actually supposed to be a top along with a skirt. But I guess it looks ok colored like a dress. LOL! I used a Martha Stewart PAP for the top and sides and left the bottom part alone. The cardstock is Bazzill and the DP are from Inque Boutique. That's it for me today! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

Superduper boy and the winner of Tilda with Hanging Rabbit!!
Hi everyone! Well, we're a little closer to the weekend! Can you tell I'm ready? LOL! This was the card I designed for my Copic coloring class this month. I fell in love with this cute little guy Superduper Boy from Mo's Digitial Pencil Too! He's colored with Copic Sketch markers (yep! I have the colors listed below). Cardstock is Bazzill and the DP is from Inque Boutique.
There's lots of dimension as each panel is popped up from the one under it. All three panels are machine stitched, and Superduper boy is fussy cut and popped up from the oval Nestie. The stars were cut with the Expression using the Gyspsy and George cartridge. The twine was just wrapped around the panel and then tied in a bow.
I also used an old Martha Stewart border punch along the bottom half. First, here are the colors used for the card. Then scroll on down to find the winner of Tilda with Hanging Rabbit! Good luck!!
I am entering this into

Dance as if no one were watching

If you haven't heard of Mo Manning and checked out her digi stamps, then I would say RUN to her site, Digial Pencil Too, and check out her fabulous work! I fell MADLY in love with this stamp when I first saw her. I actually gasped, and immediately put her in my cart.

Added some pretty silk ribbon from the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store and a rose from my friend Jacque. I think the charm came from The Hobby Store, but I'm not sure. My collection of charms is growing very rapidly and I don't remember what I got from where. So what do you think? Do you think she'll like it? I sure hope so. I mean...I know she's like my mom, and she'd like it if I smeared some ink on a piece of paper just cause I made it. But I really wanted to make her a special card. Did I accomplish my task?
Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! HUGS!
