Magnolia-licious monthly DT sketch challenge and Papertake Weekly - anything goes!

Hi everyone! Gosh it's been forever since I've posted! Things have been crazy around here and I've been lost in all the chaos! LOL! A couple more weeks, and then things should start to get back to normal. With it being the first of the month, it's time for a new sketch challenge from the Magnolia-licious Design Team. This month, the challenge was picked by Mindy, and she gave us an awesome sketch to follow! With it being Tuesday, it's also time for a new Papertake Weekly challenge which I totally missed last week! I was so bummed cause it's the very first week I've ever missed our challenge. But I'm back raring to go this week. And it's an "anything goes" challenge (with an option of using buttons) which is sponsored by Lili of the Valley!  For my card this week, I used one of my very favorite new Tilda images, #3032 Watercan Tilda from the new Sweet Rainbow collection which is available right now over at Magnolia-licious!  I also used the tulip pathway image which I can't find in stock right now. Please contact Diana at Magnolia-licious if you're interested in purchasing one.

I colored them with Copic markers and fussy cut Tilda out and popped her up for dimension. The circle sentiement is from Lili of the Valley and is cut out using Nesties.  The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, the DP is Basic Grey which is matted with Bazzill cardstock. Plenty of machine stitching adds to the card, and I also used some crocheted lace and May Arts silk ribbon all which came from Stamp and Create.  So that's it for me today! Thanks so much for popping by to see me today and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

Paperplay Challenges - Anything but a card

Hi everyone! I'm back from my week with my family which went WAY too quickly. I miss everyone already. We brought JJ (our grandson) back with us to spend the next four weeks. So needless to say my hands will be full for a while. He's getting so big and growing up way too quickly, which they all do. But it seems so much more apparant when you don't get to see them all the time.  Anyway, it's time for a new challenge from Paperplay Challenges. They have a brand new sponsor, La-La Land Crafts! They generously offered the DT some images to play with, but unfortunately I wasn't able to get one done since I've been out of town.

For my "anything but a card" challenge, I created a tag using one of the hAnglar & stAnglar images. She's colored with Copic markers and then popped up from the tag.  The papers are from Nitwit Collections, the flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, and the ribbon is May Arts Silk from Stamp and Create. That's it for me today! Please be sure and pop over to Paperplay Challenges and we'd love it if you'd play along with us! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

Paertake Weekly - Here comes the sun!!

Hey everyone! Happy Tuesday! I'm excited cause I get on the plane tomorow to go see my sister and brothers! It's been a couple years so it's way overdue! I'm ready for some rest, relaxation, and lots of fun catching up with everyone! It's time for a new challenge from Papertake Weekly, and this week the challenge is "here comes the sun". We're being sponsored by The Ribbon Girl! For my card, I used Strawberry Girl from Mo Manning Digital Pencil. I fell in love with her when I saw her!

She's colored with Copic markers (list is below) and then cut out using oval Nesties and petite scalloped oval Nesties. She's then popped up from the rest of the card. The DP is Best Creation and all the cardstock is from Bazzill. The flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts and the big butterfly is a Cuttlebug cut and emboss set. I used some pink  Liquid Pearls on it too. The little butterflies are from an EK Success punch.

This is the card for my June Coloring with Copics class I give at my local scrapbook store. Hope they enjoy putting it together as much as I enjoyed designing it.  So that's it for my card for today. Please be sure and pop over to Papertake Weekly and check out all the fantastic cards by my teamies! Then we'd love it if you'd grab your paper and glue and play along with us. Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! I will be out of reach for the next week. So I'll see you all when I get back next week! Hugs!

Magnolia-licious Blog Hop - Black & White with a "pop" of color

Hi friends!! Hope you had a fabulous weekend, and that you're ready for a great week! It's time for a new Magnolia-licious Design Team blog hop, so if you've arrived here from the lovely and talented Barb, then you're in the right place! If not, pop on over to the Magnolia-licious Highlites blog for all the links to the hop. For our theme today, we were challenged by the Queen herself! Diana asked us to use black and white, with a "pop" of another color. Well of course mine had to be red.  I do love the color combo of  red, black, and white.

For my card, I used one of the brand new stamps from the Sweet Rainbow collection which is available right now over at Magnolia-licious! She is #264 Lying Tilda.  Now you might notice I only used half of her! I really like the entire stamp, but the top half of her is perfect for popping out of a frame! She's colored with Copic markers. I know her dress is the R20 family, and her skin is E11, 01, and 00. Can't remember what colors I used for her hair. Sorry!  For the frame, I used my new Cricut Cartridge, Elegant Edges.   For the sentiment, I chose to use a circle sentiment from Lili of the Valley cut out with circle Nesties and petite scalloped Nesties. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and that yummy bow was made with May Arts silk ribbon. I also added some Kaiser pearls in the corners for the finishing touch.

So that's it for me for the hop! Now if you're interested in maybe going shopping over at Magnolia-licious, leave a comment on this post and you'll be elligible to win a 20 dollar gift certificate to the shop! That should assist you with your shopping fun! I will draw a winner the weekend of the first as I will be out of town for the next week. Now it's time to hop on over to visit the oh so talented Suzanne. I know she's got something gorgeous for you to feast your eyes on! Thanks so much for joining us in the hop today!  Please be sure and visit the Magnolia-licious Highlites blog so you can see how you can participate and win a fabulous prize from Diana! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

Happy Father's Day to my hubby!

Good morning! Are you having a good weekend? The weather has been so nice! Not too hot, not too cool. Perfect for the last couple days of spring. I wanted to show you the card I made for my hubby for Father's  Day. It's a very simple card. I let the image do all the talking on this one. No embellishments at all. Just used some patterned paper from Pink Petticoat matted with Bazzill cardstock. This fabulous image is from Kenny K and I think she's gorgeous!! I've got a really cute picture of myself that I got a couple years back when I went to Vegas with my two very favorite ladies in the entire world. We were celebrating turning 50 together. We came across one of those places that insert your face into a sexy pic. We had a blast with that one. Anyway, I had my face inserted into a Cowgirl pinup, so I couldn't pass up this image.

Of course I had to come up with my own sentiment. LOL! And I've got to tell you that he truly LOVED this card when he opened it. heehee  Well....what guy wouldn't??!!

She's colored with Copic markers - The T series of grays and the R20's series for the reds. I used E11, E01, and E00 for her skin. For her hair, I used E97, 99. and 17. I didn't care for how it came out, but it was one of the last things I colored and I just didn't have the time to redo her again. She did take a while to color.  And for those of you that know me, the first part of the sentiment is on the front, and here's the inside

And now I'd like to share some pics in memory of my wonderful dad....Happy Father's Day Dad!

My dad when he was about two years old

What a handsome guy!

He sure did love to fish!

And last but not least, a picture of my mom and dad

Have a wonderful day everyone!! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

Fun and Exciting news!!

Hi everyone! I hope you're having a fabulous week! I'm really excited as I've been invited to join Sandie and the amazingly talented team over at Paperplay Challenges, and this is my first card for them! Today's challenge, "At The Beach", was chosen by our wonderful Mandy and is being sponsored by...wait for it....Just Inklined!!! I love that company!! Sure wish I had a chance to win! LOL! Anyway, I'm super happy to join the talented team of designers at Paperplay!

For my card, I used one of my brand new images from the Sweet Rainbow collection from Magnolia-licious. She's #353 Sweetie Tilda, and they named her appropriately as she is indeed a sweetie!  I paper pieced her dress and colored the rest of her with Copic markers. Sorry I don't have the list of markers I used on this one. I also used the background stamp #655 Romantic sunset. Both of these images are in stock right now over at Magnolia-licious!  The DP is from Nitwit Collections Summer Splash, and it's matted with Bazzill cardstock. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, the ticket is from a set from Whimsy, and the yummy ribbon is from Stamp and Create.

So that's it for my card. I hope you pop over to Paperplay Challenges and check out all the lovely pojects from the rest of the design team. Then we'd love it if you'd grab your paper and glue and play along with us! You might get lucky and win a voucher to Just Inklined!! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

Superduper boy and the winner of Tilda with Hanging Rabbit!!

Hi everyone! Well, we're a little closer to the weekend! Can you tell I'm ready? LOL! This was the card I designed for my Copic coloring class this month. I fell in love with this cute little guy Superduper Boy from Mo's Digitial Pencil Too! He's colored with Copic Sketch markers (yep! I have the colors listed below). Cardstock is Bazzill and the DP is from Inque Boutique.

There's lots of dimension as each panel is popped up from the one under it. All three panels are machine stitched, and Superduper boy is fussy cut and popped up from the oval Nestie. The stars were cut with the Expression using the Gyspsy and George cartridge. The twine was just wrapped around the panel and then tied in a bow.

I also used an old Martha Stewart border punch along the bottom half. First, here are the colors used for the card. Then scroll on down to find the winner of Tilda with Hanging Rabbit! Good luck!!

I am entering this into

What'th up?

Today, I got to make a card simply for the fun of it. I truly fell in love with this cutie pie when I found her last night! Her name is Tabatha and I love her tattered look! It's just so much fun! I colored her with Copic markers and cut her out so I could pop her up off the card. The shaped card was cut with my Cricut Expression using the Wild Card cartrdige. The word blurb and the question marks were cut using the Cuttin' Up cartridge. Cardstock is Bazzill and the DP is digital, and the sentiment was just printed from the computer.  Of course the bow was made using May Arts silk ribbon. That's it for today! Thanks for stopping by to see me today and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

Wags 'n Whiskers - Ribbon challenge

Happy Friday!! And you know what Friday means....yep! It's time for a new Wags 'n Whiskers challenge! This week, our challenge from the fabulously talented Lacey, and she's asking us to use ribbon on our projects. Well....I think most of you probably know that's not much of a challenge for me! LOL! And that's because I use the fabulous May Arts silk ribbon that is available in Lacey's shop, Stamp and Create! For this challenge, I immediately thought of Mother's Day, and then of this adorable stamp of Ryan called Just For You! I don't think there could be a more precious and perfect image for Mother's Day! He's colored with Copic markers and then cut out and popped up from the card base for dimension.

The sentiment is from a fabulous set of stamps from Regina over at The Cutting Cafe' called Happy Mother's/Mum's Day Huge circle set. Great for quick, easy, and awesome cards for Mother's Day. Each panel is machine stitched, and that fabulous ribbon and charm are available at Stamp and Create. The papers are Nitwits and the tag was cut with my Expression and the Tags, Bags, Boxes, and More cartridge. Please be sure to visit the rest of my DT sisters to see all the awesomeness they created for this challenge!
Then join us at Wags 'n Whiskers challenge blog to play along for the chance of winning a new stamp! But remember - You have to use a Wags 'n Whiskers stamp to win! Thanks for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!
Happy Friday! YAY! We made it!!! And that means it's time for a new challenge from Wags n' Whiskers! This week, our challenge comes from the wonderful Tina, and it's a fabulous sketch. I chose to use this adorable stamp called Hey Chickie! Isn't she just too cute??!!

She's colored with Copic markers and then cut out and popped up off the top panel. I used one of my all time favorite color combinatios, yellow and blue. All the papers are from Nitwits, and the panels are all machine stitched. I had the cutest little charm where a chick is hatching out of his shell, and this card just screamed for it! That gorgeous "to die for" lace, yummy silk ribbon, and tons of charms, are all available at Stamp and Create.

Please be sure and join us over at Wags n' Whiskers for the challenge, and remember to play our challenges you must use a Wags 'n Whiskers Rubber Stamp as your main image to be entered into the prize drawing. Can't wait to see what you come up with!

That's it for me today! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!!

Kraftin Kimmie discovers a happy birthday!

One of my friends at work commissioned me to make a card for his mom, and she is really into tie dyed shirts. So after some thinking, this is what I came up with. I've got to say that I totally and completely love how this card came out!! I got this adorable Kraftin Kimmie stamp called Josephine from Lacey at Stamp and Create. She's from the Moonlight Whispers line, and the stamp is actually supposed to be a love potion. The only problem was a love potion wasn't what I needed for this card. So after some thought, I realized that after years of trying, Josephine discovered something different!!

I stamped her with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored her with Copic markers. I also added some Smooch to her jewelry and the little doodads hanging from her skirt wrap. I thought up the sentiment myself, and then printed it out on my computer. Here's a close up of the sentiment (I doodled around it).

The paper is Basic Grey, and I also used a Martha Stewart border punch. The stamp on the sentiment mat is one of the extra stamps that comes with Josephine. The bow was done with black silk ribbon (sooooo lucious!!) and my Bow Easy. And I added another one on the inside of the card with a charm.

So what do you think? Think she'll like it? I sure hope so!! That's it for today! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!!

WooHoo!! Happy Friday!! It's time for a new Wags 'n Whiskers challenge, and this week the talented Inge said it's Freestyle week!! I have been just waiting to use this beautiful image of Ansley in prayer. Oh my goodness, she's so pretty! I just think she's amazing for so many things. A first Communion card, a "your in my thoughts and prayers" card, a Sympathy card, a Baptism card, and the list goes on and on. She's colored with Copic markers, cut out, and then popped up with dimensional tape.

Please be sure and visit the Wags 'n Whiskers challenge blog to see the gorgeous creations the rest of the WnW Design Divas came up with! What a talented bunch of ladies! Wags 'n Whiskers - My Favorite Things!

Happy Friday everyone! We made it through another week and it's time for a new Wags 'n Whiskers challenge. This week, the challenge comes from the awesome Jacqui, and she's asking everyone to use their favorite things. I chose to work with one of the new "Wee Ones" from the newest release of Wags 'n Whiskers stamps called "Hey Grandma". Isn't he so adorable??

So what did I use on my card that's my favorite things? Well, I'll start with the image that reminds me of my four Grandsons, then there's buttons and silk bows, polka dots, and an adorable charm! I used my Copics and Nesties and Cricut to cut the stars, too! So there's tons of things that represent things I love. :) I'm not so sure about the pom poms on this one, though. I don't think I like them.

Please be sure and visit Wags 'n Whiskers to see the AMAZING creations by the rest of the Diva's. They are sooooo talented! And then please grab your Wags 'n Whiskers images and play along with the challenge too for a chance to win a free stamp! I totally and completely LOVE Kimmie's stamps, especially the Moonlight Whispers line! They are sooo cute and quirky! I mean seriously, can you look at this stamp and not smile? I had to skew the sketch just a bit because of the height of my stamp. Sorry Dawny!! *smiles*

I've had this adorable DP from 3bugsinarug for a couple months just waiting for a use for it. And when I got Lillith from Lacey at Stamp and Create, I knew I had a great match! Lillith is colored with Copic markers. The flowers were cut with my Gypsy and the Paisley cartridge. The buttons are Basic Grey and the sentiment is computer generated with the CK Cute font.

Wags 'n Whiskers - brown, blue, and white!

We made it to Friday! YAY! :) And that means it's time for a new Wags 'n Whiskers challenge. This weeks challenge is from the fabulous Inge, and it's to use the colors brown, blue, and white on your project. I love this color combo, and chose to use the stamp Bear Hug. I used several different shades of brown, including that beautiful taupe silk ribbon. It comes across a little pinkish in the photo. She's colored with Copic markers, and I honestly have to say that I love this stamp so much!! This card is for someone that is really having a tough time right now, and I'm truly hoping it will make her feel a little better.

The flowers were cut with my Cricut and Gypsy from the Paisley cart with some chalk ink around the edges. I just cut circles out for the centers and topped them off with a bow made from twine from PTI. That fabulous teddy bear charm hanging from the bow is from Lacey over at Stamp and Create! Isn't it adorable??!! The hearts were cut with Nestabilities and then popped up for a little dimension. DP is Webster's pages and cardstock is Bazzill. Please do yourself a huge favor and visit Wags 'n Whiskers. The Divas have really created some amazing eye candy for you this week (they do every week!). These ladies are seriously talented!!! And then we'd love it if you'd play along with us! If you use your Wags 'n Whiskers stamp, you'll be entered for a chance to win a WnW stamp of your choice! Thanks so much for visiting me today, and hope to see you back again soon!! Big hugs!!

Three Clovers Designs with High Hopes stamps!

Happy Friday Eve everyone!! YAY!! Isn't it so sad that I just live for the weekends? LOL! Well....that and vacations! (smile) It's time for a new challenge from Kerry over at Three Clovers Designs. The challenge is to use at least two images on your project, and words don't count!! I used these adorable new High Hopes stamps that I got from Lacey over at Stamp and Create! Have you heard that Dustin Pike is their newest artist? How exciting is that?! I fell in love with these aliens and had to have them. So I used the two different aliens, Chuck and Quentin, and the cute space post sign, and they're colored with Copic markers. The sentiment was printed off from my computer onto the sign. Chuck photographed really red, but he's actually orange in person. The grass was just drawn in with my Copic multi-liner.

The stars, scalloped frame, and photo corners were all cut out with the Cricut using my Gypsy that I got from Hallmark Scrapbook. That's it for today! Please be sure and pop over to Three Clovers Thursdays to see the rest of the fabulous projects from the DT. And then we'd love it if you'd play along with us! Thanks for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!
I also entered this in High Hopes challenge this week for a project using three High Hopes Stamps! Wish me luck! Hugs!
